So you’re ready to begin your journey into juicing.
Juicing is one of my absolute favorite health hacks and I can’t believe what a difference it has made to the overall health of my family. I drink juice daily and whenever I juice up a batch I also pour some for my wife and kids as well. I’ve also formulated a few recipes that taste delicious but are packed with greens – a sneaky way to get some veges into their body.
But the big question when you start juicing is – which juicer do you get?
If you’re like me, you’ll be a little weary to spend several hundred dollars on an appliance you may not really like or use for the long-term. That’s totally understandable. The great thing is, juicers are more than affordable these days, and there are many top quality juicers available for under $100.
Below I’m going to give you two options to get a great juicer – both that I’ve actually used personally – and they won’t even run you $100.
I absolutely love this juicer. I actually still have it stored away in the garage. This was the first juicer I bought when I got into juicing a few years back – I used it daily for about two years and and it never skipped a beat. It is super efficient and juices through any vegetable you could want – even tougher ones like carrots and beets. I’ve since upgraded to some serious heavy duty juicing artillery, but this juicer really does still churn out juice with the best of them.
One of the great things about it is it cleans so easily. It breaks down into about four parts in just a few seconds, and you can even throw it in the dishwasher if you want. I always just hand washed it (only took a minute) and set it on the dish rack to dry. I must say it also looks quite nice too sitting on the bench – adds a bit of character to your kitchen!
However the best thing about it is – the price. The Breville Juice Fountain will run you $99.95, and is without a doubt one of the best value juicers on the market. One of the biggest worries with juicers is durability, and like I said, mine still runs like it’s brand new after several years.
If you’re ready to get into juicing and looking for a good entry-level machine, I would highly, highly recommend this one. For the newbie juicer, it’s the best choice out there.Click here to check it out on Amazon.
If $99.95 is still out of your price range, I’ve got another option for you. This is a juicer my cousin bought after he tasted one of my juices at our house one morning, although he didn’t want to drop $100 on a juicer just to try it out.
We jumped on Amazon and decided the Gourmia GJ750 would be a good one to take a chance on – had a lot of good reviews and was only fifty bucks! He’s been using it every day for a few months and absolutely loves it. I was over at his place one weekend and I had go at juicing some veges from the garden – I was really impressed. I’m almost tempted to say it’s better than the Breville, although I’m not sure if it will have the same longevity. As for juicing ability alone, however, it really does juice impressively for such a low cost appliance.
As you can see it’s built a little different from the Breville – it takes the classic design of most premium juicers, with a bigger waste bucket and juice jug. It really is a great appliance for the price. The only one downside is it’s a little more laborious to clean, but nothing major. If you’re on a serious budget, or just don’t want to invest too much in your juicing journey yet, I’d highly recommend giving this juicer a try. You certainly can’t go wrong with fifty bucks. You can click here to check it out on Amazon.
Best of luck with your juicing – the best advice I can give you is to just choose one and get started! You’ll love it I’m sure.
