Yes we do.
The above photograph was taken outside the front window of my local tailor. Every time I walk past this sign, I pause and take a closer look because every letter was cut out by hand, out of black construction paper.
Don’t believe me? Take a closer look and you will see that the W is coming unglued. (It’s even more obvious in person.)

And get a load of that wonky S! No sense of punctuation, either. Oh I am in love.
Here’s another local sign I like, just for the word “service”.

I could look at that letter V all day.
In other news, I have been super crafty but have not downloaded the photographic evidence. So I’ll show you some other people’s pictures instead.
* Someone has made a phoney flower from the pattern I wrote for the Meet Me at Mike’s book. I think it turned out just gorgeous!
* Two weeks ago I hosted a mending bee at my house. It was super-fun, as you can tell from Kat’s blog.
You can also see my “new” clock, aka Clockasaurus, in the last picture. A freebie from the shell of an old bank, he now lives in the craft room (which is pretty close to that colour) and makes a noise every time the numbers flip. He makes a bigger noise on the hour, and a really, really, really good kachunk! noise at midnight because everything flips over. I applaud if I am awake to witness it.
My sister and her husband arrive in less than five weeks (yahoo!) and they will be staying on the other side of the wall where Clockasaurus resides (oops). Somehow I don’t think they will applaud if he keeps them up at night, so I might have to switch him off for 10 days. Pffft.

Hey, it’s Jennie from Northside Makers Collective. Some of those shopfronts sure do look familiar to my Northcote eyes. I love the Melways envelopes in your Etsy shop. I do a whole Melbourne/public transport thing as my craft schtick so I always appreciate others working in a similar vein!
